My name is Mark and like most dad's out there trying to earn a living I work my ass off all day long and when I'm not working I'm being a dad to my 3 year old son Ryleigh. Ry is let's just say high maintenance. He's the love of my life and a total pain in the ass but deep down inside I know the reason he's such a handful is because he's going to grow up and be a rock star or something else huge. The kid commands and demands everyone's attention. Will the terrible two's ever end???? The other love of my life is Danielle or as I like to call her..."My baby's mamma." She will tell you that she's a red head but between me being color blind and her highlights I say she's blond. We actually met over the internet on one of those cheesy matching sites. She came to see my band play one night. The next day we took our dogs to the dog park and have been inseparable ever since.
Like many of you dads I used to have a life and a lot of hobbies. Before Ryleigh I was a black belt in Taekwondo, I raced 4 wheelers, I played guitar in a rock band, I ran, I scuba dived, I jumped out of airplanes. That chapter of my life is over and I don't regret losing any of it. Being a dad is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. When I was single I'd remember all my buddies who were dads telling me that one day I'd get it and I am proud to say that now I really do. So now my hobbies are pretty limited. Every now and then I get lucky enough to take my boat out on the St. John's and maybe roll down to the Outback Crab Shack for dinner. As of late my biggest hobby is riding my new Harley Street Glide. Danielle and I have never really shared a hobby before and we're having so much fun doing all the Jacksonville charity rides and poker runs. It's a great way to see the city and meet some awesome new friends. I strongly suggest that if you're not on a bike yet that you stop being such a pussy and live a little. If you'd ask me what the highlight of my life was. After Ryleigh's birth I'd tell you it was the time I got to play guitar on stage with both Godsmack and the Foo Fighters. Every now and then I get to relive those rock and roll dreams by playing with the best bands in town like Big Engine, Kickin Lassie & Big Al & the Kaholics. Last but not least we have a wild pack of crazy dogs and one big fat cat. Wrigley the cat named after the greatest ball park on earth Wrigley Field is 20 pounds of lazy and spends the whole day eating and sleeping. Above is Rio my "doggy lover." Yes if I was a dog we'd so be married and be making cute puppies but since we're not we just gaze into each others eyes and growl at each other. We're down to 4 dogs now as our greatest pup Sinatra "the camping dog" was recently hit by a car here on SR 13. It broke our hears & should be a big reminder to have your pets micro-chipped.
